The All New Renault Kangoo has reaffirmed its class-leading status after winning the Small Van of the Year category at the What Car? Van and Commercial Vehicle Awards 2023.

With clever loading solutions, payloads up to 1,000kg and a load volume of up to 4.2m3, the latest generation of the Renault Kangoo won praise from the renowned magazine and website’s expert judging panel for its capability and practicality.

Presenting the award, Darren Moss, Deputy Editor from What Car? said:

“With an affordable price, unique storage solutions and the option of electric power, the latest Renault Kangoo is a top choice among small vans.”

The award adds to the All New Renault Kangoo’s fast-growing trophy cabinet, with the compact LCV being named International Van of the Year 2022 and winning the What Van? Compact Van of the Year award 2022.

Guillaume Sicard, Country Head UK & Managing Director Renault Brand UK, said:

“We are delighted to accept this award for the All New Renault Kangoo. The latest version of our best-selling Kangoo epitomises our vast knowledge of producing light commercial vehicles, providing the highly advanced technologies, optimum value and versatility that today’s hard working van buyers demand.”

Sporting a striking new look and available with 20 advanced driver assistance systems, the All New Kangoo is offered with advanced petrol, diesel, or 100% electric powertrains, plus short- and long-wheelbase formats to suit businesses of all sizes. Both petrol and automatic gearboxes are new to Kangoo. There is also a choice of two trim levels – Start and Advance – with the standard specification including automatic headlights and wipers, 3.5-inch TFT driver information display, DAB radio with Bluetooth and USB connectivity, electric front windows, manual air conditioning, heated and electrically-adjustable door mirrors, and a height-adjustable driver’s seat.

Customers of the pure electric version benefit from a load volume of up to 4.2m3, a maximum 615kg payload, 1,500kg of towing capacity, and a driving range of up to 186 miles (WLTP). The zero-emissions-in-use version can be recharged by a typical 7.4 kW Wallbox in little more than seven hours, while rapid DC charging at up to 75 kW can deliver an 80 per cent charge in around 43 minutes. The Kangoo also come with 22kw 80DC charging as standard.

The availability of 44 litres of in-cab storage also contributes to the All New Renault Kangoo being the perfect work partner, while a range of door and glazing options, an extra-wide side loading door, and a clever new Easy Inside Rack are just some of the features that broaden its appeal still further.

The All New Kangoo sits alongside the Trafic and Master models in the long-established range of award-winning Renault light commercial vehicles which, for the 2023 model year, benefit from a streamlined model line-up, new trim lines, and base price reductions. The Trafic E-Tech 100% Electric will be coming in 2023, which will complete a fully electrified range.
